Zach LaVine agrees to five-year, max deal with Bulls

Zach LaVine has agreed to a new deal with the Chicago Bulls and will remain with the team long-term. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the All-Star guard and the Bulls agreed to a five-year, max contract, worth $215.2M, with Year 5 being a player option.

LaVine was a free agent this offseason, however he and Chicago had mutual interest to reach an agreement on a new deal.

Last season, Zach LaVine averaged averaged 24.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists through 67 games in the regular season. The Bulls suffered a first-round playoff exit, losing to the Milwaukee Bucks (4-1).

The explosive guard was dealing with a knee injury all season long and underwent surgery a month ago to repair the damage.
