Golden State Warriors took an important injury blow ahead of Game 5 vs the Denver Nuggets. Veteran forward Andre Iguodala suffered an injury that it will keep him out for a while.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the three-time champion has been listed out with a cervical disc injury.

Golden State forward missed Game 2 with a sore neck, though he was able to return for the following two contests.

While the loss of Iguodala certainly hurts, the Warriors have proven that they have the firepower to defeat the Nuggets without him.

The Warriors used the play of Jordan Poole, the defensive ability of Draymond Green and Stephen Curry coming off the bench to take control of the series vs Nuggets.

At the same time, Klay Thompson has shot the ball very well, being 100 percent healthy going forward in the playoffs.

If anything, giving Iguodala the chance to rest in the first round could be a nice way to keep him fresh and healthy for the second round, if the injury is not serious.
