Warriors ruled out three players ahead of matchup vs Memphis

Golden State Warriors will have three starters unavailable for Monday’s contest vs the Memphis Grizzlies, the team announced.

Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Otto Porter Jr. were ruled out for Monday’s game. Garry Payton II is listed questionable. There are also good news for Golden State as Andre Iguodala will play his first game since February.

Iguodala dealt with a back issue the last seven weeks. His return will be a welcoming sight for the slumping Warriors. Iguodala has only played 26 games this season while dealing with rest and missing extended time to injuries.

Iguodala could provide leadership and stability on both sides of the court as the shorthanded Warriors look to avoid a three-game losing streak in tonight’s matchup vs Memphis.

The Warriors are 17-9 when Iguodala plays this season and they’re plus-11.5 with him on the court. The former NBA Finals MVP has averaged a career-low 4.1 points per game shootting 23.0 percent from deep, which is also a career-low.

Klay Thompson will be out for his rest in the second game of back-to-back, while Draymond Green will also be out due to injury management, as he recently recovered from a back injury.

The Warriors are coming off a tough loss at the hands of the Washington Wizards. They will try to avoid their third loss in the row tonight vs the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies.

Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Otto Porter Jr. all out tonight in Memphis, as expected. Gary Payton II questionable with right knee soreness. Andre Iguodala is not listed on the injury report. Cleared for his return. — Anthony Slater (@anthonyVslater) March 28, 2022
