The Golden State Warriors rallied past the Denver Nuggets (107-123) and took the upper hand in the series (1-0).
Golden State took over after the first quarter and never looked back. The hosts outscored their opponents 43-64 between the second and the third quarter and cruised to the victory.
In his playoff debut, Jordan Poole led all scorers with 30 points, on 9/13 shooting and 5/7 from beyond the arc. Stephen Curry had 16 points (5/13 shooting) in his return to action, while Klay Thompson added 19, hitting 5 three-pointers (5/10).
On the other hand, Nikola Jokic had 25 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals for the losing squad. Will Barton posted 24 for Denver.
The Warriors will seek to take a 2-0 series lead on Monday, when they host the Nuggets in Game 2.
