Warriors make wild comeback vs Jazz to win the game and clinch playoff spot

The Golden State Warriors made a wild comeback vs the Utah Jazz and won the game (107-111) to clinch a playoff spot.

The Warriors trailed by as many as 21 in the contest, but turned things around in the final minutes to claim the victory.

Down by 16 early in the fourth quarter, Golden State went on an 0-18 run to take the lead (103-105). Utah had the chance to regain the lead late in the contest. But, Rudy Gobert made a crucial turnover and the Warriors sealed the deal from the free-throw line.

Klay Thompson (36) and Jordan Poole (31 points) combined for 67 points for the winners. On the other hand, Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley each had 26 for the losing squad.


The Warriors clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2019 and snapped a four-game losing streak. At 49-29, they hold an one-game lead over the Dallas Mavericks (48-30) for the third seed in the Western Conference.

On the other hand, Utah has lost 15 games this season in which it held double-digit leads. The Jazz are now tied with the Denver Nuggets for the fifth spot (46-32).

On Tuesday, Utah hosts the Memphis Grizzlies to begin its final homestand of the season. On the contrary, the Warriors play at Sacramento on Sunday, looking to sweep the season series.
