Victor Oladipo and the Miami Heat eliminated the Atlanta Hawks and advanced to the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
The former All-Star guard went for a team-high 23 points, on 8/16 shooting, leading his team to the 94-97 victory over the Hawks.
Four more players scored in double figures for the winners, who played without Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry.
On the other hand, De’Andre Hunter had a game-high 35 points for the losing squad, with 17 of them coming in the fourth quarter. Trae Young was limited to just 12 points, on 2/12 shooting and 0/5 from beyond the arc.
The Heat went on a 2-17 run late in the second quarter to close the first half up by 12 (42-54). Atlanta attempted a comeback in the second half and made it an one possession game with 74 seconds to go (93-95).
The Hawks had the chance to tie the game and force overtime, but Danilo Gallinari missed the three-pointer in the final seconds.
Miami closed out the series wiith Atlanta (4-1) and will now take on the winner of the Philadelphia 76ers-Toronto Raptors series. The Sixers lead 3-2 and Game 6 takes place on Thursday.
