Tyrese Maxey scores playoff career-high 38 points; Sixers dominate Raptors in Game 1

Tyrese Maxey went for a playoff career-high 38 points and the Sixers crushed the Toronto Raptors in Game 1 (111-131).

The young guard had 38 points, on 14/21 shooting and 5/8 from beyond the arc. Tobias Harris (26 points), Joel Embiid (19 points, 15 rebounds) and James Harden (22 points, 14 assists) combined for 67 points for the winners.

Four players scored in double figures for the losing squad, with Pascal Siakam leading the way with 24 points.


Philadelphia dominated from start to finish, led by 18 at halftime (51-69) and by as many as 24 (53-77). Toronto never recovered after that and suffered a heavy loss.

Tyrese Maxey and the Sixers host the Raptors in Game 2 on Monday. Philadelphia leads the series 1-0.
