Tyler Herro will miss Game 6 vs the Boston Celtics, the Miami Heat announced on Friday. The star guard is dealing with a left groin strain and will be out for a third straight game.
With Miami facing elimination, Tyler Herro was expected to be in the lineup. However, the medical team ruled him out for the contest.
“These are not easy conversations or decisions. He’s definitely made progress, but he’s not quite ready to step into this kind of intensity of a game.
As badly as he wants to get out there, this is the most responsible decision for us,” Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra told media pregame.
Aside from Herro, the rest of the lineup is good to go for the Heat. If Miami loses tonight, they will get eliminated. If they win, though, they will even the series and force a Game 7 on Sunday.
