Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo were unstoppable offensively and helped the Miami Heat dominate the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 (92-106).
The two superstars combined for 49 points, with Herro scoring 25 off the bench and Adebayo adding 24. Three more players scored in double figures for the winners.
On the other hand, Tobias Harris went for a game-high 27 points (11/18 shooting) for the losing squad. Tyrese Maxey (19 points) and James Harden (16 points) were the other two players in double digits for the Sixers.
After a hard-fought battle in the first half (51-50), the Heat took over. Playing excellent on both ends, they outscored Philadelphia 41-56 in the second half and cruised to the victory.
Miami now leads the series 1-0. Game 2 will take place on Wednesday and the hosts will seek to protect their home court. On the contrary, the visitors will attempt to “steal” the home-court advantage, as they hope to have Joel Embiid back for Games 3 and 4.
