Trae Young confident Dejounte Murray can take Hawks to next level

Trae Young shared his thoughts on the Atlanta Hawks trading for Dejounte Murray and praised the All-Star guard.

The superstar guard believes Murray’s arrival can take Atlanta to the next level and make it a title contender right away.

“I just know what type of player he is. I know what he can bring to our team. I wanna win championships in Atlanta. I think he can ultimately help take us to that level.

We’ve been in the playoffs, we’ve been on a run, but I think he can take us to that next level,” Trae Young told NBA TV about Dejounte Murray, via Clutchpoints.

By trading for Murray, the Hawks just made a major upgrade in their backcourt, which will  feature two All-Star guards in Murray and Young.

Dejounte Murray averaged almost a triple-double last season with 21.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 9.2 assists in 68 games for the San Antonio Spurs.
