The Minnesota Timberwolves made another stellar performance this season and dominated the Milwaukee Bucks at home (119-138).
Led by Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves relied on their offense and clinched their fourth straight victory.
Towns and Edwards combined for 50 points for the winners (25 points), while four more players scored in double figures.
On the other hand, Khris Middleton had 15 points for the losing squad, with Milwaukee having six more players in double-digit scoring. The Bucks ruled out Giannis Antetokounmpo prior to the game, because of right knee soreness.
Minnesota led by 12 at halftime (56-68) and outscored the Bucks 26-38 in the third quarter to extend its lead to 24 (82-106). Milwaukee never recovered after that and suffered a heavy road loss.
Thanks to their win, the Timberwolves improved to 42-30 and have now won four straight games and 10 of their last 11. They also claimed their sixth home win in a row, as they maintain a top six push.
Minnesota is just 0.5 games below sixth-placed Denver Nuggets (42-29) and is fighting for the direct qualification for the playoffs.
On the contrary, Milwaukee dropped to 44-27 and is third in the East, three games below conference leaders Miami Heat (47-24).
Minnesota swept the season series with the Milwaukee Bucks for the first time since the 2013/14 season. Up next, the Timberwolves will play the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. Dallas is fifth in the standings, just two games above Minnesota (43-27).
For their part, the Bucks return home to face the Chicago Bulls. Milwaukee ended its four-game road trip with a defeat (2-2).
