There’s reportedly already ‘NBA interest’ in Vasilije Micic

Vasilije Micic was named the EuroLeague Final-4 MVP after leading Anadolu Efes to the win over Real Madrid in the championship game. Micic finished with 23 points and several huge plays in the crunch time for his team.

That game came after he collected 15 points, six rebounds and nine assists in the 74-77 semifinal win over Olympiacos Piraeus, which he sealed with a last-second three-pointer to win it.

Efes won the EuroLeague title back-to-back and Micic was named MVP in the EuroLeague Final-4 for the second time in his career. According to Marc Stein, there’s already interest in the Serbian star from NBA teams for next season.

Oklahoma City acquired the rights to Micic last season in a trade that landed Al Horford to the Thunder. The Thunder indeed also acquired a future first-round pick (2025) in the same trade.

As for Micic, he made some serious history as the Efes superstar entered a special group of players following the 2021-22 EuroLeague title.

He became just the fourth player to win back-to-back Final Four MVPs joining Toni Kukoc in 1990 and 1991, Dejan Bodiroga in 2002 and 2003 and Vassilis Spanoulis with in 2012 and 2013.

The Sebian superstar finished the season with averages of 18.2 points through 34 EuroLeague games to be named the recipient of the Alphonso Ford, which is given to the top scorer of the competition. He also averaged 4.6 assists and 2.7 points per contest.
