And now, the time that every basketball fan has been waiting for has arrived! The 2022 NBA Finals tip off tonight and they “promise” to thrill us!

Two of the best – based on numbers and facts- teams clash for the first time in the series tonight, with the prize (and what a prize, the Larry O’ Brien trophy) waiting! Warriors or Celtics?

With Golden State having the home-court advantage, thanks to its better regular-season record, the Warriors are ready to host the Boston Celtics and they want to set the tone from the beginning.

The six-time NBA champions return to the Finals for the first time after 2019 and their defeat to the Toronto Raptors.

They seek to claim their seventh Championship, which will allow them to overpass the Chicago Bulls on the Championship table. If they do so, they will automatically become the third most successful team in league history.

The Warriors seem to have found themselves after a long time and they have started to remind everyone of the team that played in five consecutive NBA Finals (2015-2019) and earned three championships.

Of course, their failure to reach the playoffs in 2020 and 2021 comes as a result of many factors. Saturation, Klay Thompson’s injuries and the departure of Kevin Durant forced the team to proceed to a renewal.

Finally, this path had positive consequences. Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole took a step forward, giving the Warriors freshness and new ideas.

With the guidance of the veterans in Stephen Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala, a beautiful mix was created.

The result is the return to the NBA Finals. Their target? Clearly nothing less than the fourth title and seventh overall.

Their route to the Finals proved to be pretty easy. Or, if you prefer, they managed to do so. They eliminated every opponent they faced, with the Denver Nuggets (4-1), Memphis Grizzlies (4-2) and the Dallas Mavericks (4-1) being their “victims”.  Will this task prove more difficult?

On the other hand, the Celtics, one of the two most successful NBA teams in history, along with the Los Angeles Lakers – with 17 Championships – bring tremendous excitement with them in the series.

A completely young and talented team that will give their 100% to claim the championship for the first time in 12 years.

In Boston, they have suffered a lot in the past decade. Their last presence in the NBA Finals dates back to 2010, when they lost to their great rivals, the Lakers.

Furthermore, their last Championship was in 2008, where their superteam could not lose the title to the Lakers. After all, they are the pair that has claimed the trophy the most times between them (17 each).

But now, they dream again. They suffered, they believed, they were patient and now it’s time to be compensated for their efforts. Their route was not easy at all. Instead, they managed to eliminate great teams on their way to the NBA Finals.

Their first “victim” was one of the favorites of the ΝΒΑ, the Brooklyn Nets, where they swept the series (4-0).

In the Eastern semis, they faced probably the grand favorite and former champions, Milwaukee Bucks. After a great series with multiple court – breaks, they defeated Giannis Antetokounmpo and his teammates (4-3).

Next one, the Miami Heat. The team with the best record in the Eastern Conference, with a home-court advantage, plus others.

Nevertheless they had no fear and after winning Game 7, they secured their spot in the NBA Finals. Now, they are here, chasing their dream. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Al Horford and the rest of the roster seem pretty ready.

Experience vs excitement. Who is going to prevail? Can anyone be sure? Who can predict the outcome of such a series?

The regular season series were tied (1-1). Both teams won their road games. Another fact that proves home-court advantage can ensure nothing.

I also see that these NBA Finals are extremely difficult when it comes to prediction. For a series score, I would risk a 4-2 for the Warriors. I think that Stephen Curry is in a tremendous condition and refuses to lose this year’s NBA Finals.

Especially if his “Splash Brother”, Klay Thompson, is in a good condition, away from injuries, and Poole and Wiggins play at their usual standards, like they did throughout the season, Golden State has the lead.

I would also bet for Curry to take the MVP. Don’ forget that he has never won this award till today, so it will be an extra motivation for him.

Of course, if the Celtics win the Finals, then Tatum will be the grand favorite for the Bill Russell MVP award. But, I still believe in the Warriors and in probably the best shooter in NBA history, Stephen Curry.

In conclusion, for your bet options: You can find Warriors to win the Championship in an 1.70 odd. The 4-2 score for the Golden State, in an 6.00 odd. Stephen Curry to be the MVP of the NBA Finals, in an 2.00 odd.

A combination of Warriors and Curry is really valuable, if you want to risk. As for tonight, a clear win of Golden State without a handicap, is offered to 1.57, not bad!

Fasten your seat belts, high flights are about to begin. Enjoy and good luck in your betting options!
