Suns players react to tying franchise record for regular season wins

The Phoenix Suns survived a late thriller over the Golden State Warriors (107-103) and claimed their 62nd win this season.

Phoenix improved to 62-14 and extended its winning streak to nine games. The Suns have already clinched the best record in the NBA and the home-court advantage for as long as they advance through the postseason.

Following its victory, the team tied the franchise record for most regular seasons wins and will have a chance to break it Friday vs the Memphis Grizzlies.

“I am grateful, you know just having this team, this organization, the coaches, everybody, the staff and everyone that works at the area at the practice facility, I’m just grateful, just happy to be here, man,” Malik Bridges told media, including Hedgeout.net, afterwards.

Phoenix has played consistently since the start of the season and has showed they are the best team in the league. And breaking the record will further solidify their status as the grand favorite for the championship.

“I mean it’s great, it’s all going well. Honestly I’d like to get a championship to go along with that but that doesn’t diminish anything that we’ve done, seasons are hard, it’s a long season, ups and downs of a season.

It’s dope to be a part of that with this franchise and have an opportunity to have the most wins this franchise ever had,” star guard Chris Paul said.

“For me it means whole lot. Being here seven years now and just learning more and more about the franchise and the organization, the people that have came before us. Now to be up there with them ones it feels good,” Devin Booker added.

The Suns and the Warriors split the season series (2-2) and could face each other in the second round of the playoffs, if Golden State remains fourth.
