Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared an encouraging update on Steph Curry after missing the last three weeks with a sprained ligament in his left foot.
Curry was injured on March 16 game vs the Boston Celtics. As Kerr revealed, the Warriors superstar is back on the court as he prepares for the postseason.
The 34-year-old sharpshooter is scheduled to be reevaluated at the conclusion of the regular season on April 11.
“He is on the court getting shots up. He’s been able to ramp things up a bit,” Warriors head coach said, via via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
The Warriors lost six of their last nine without Curry available. However, Golden State have won its last two games. With three games to play, GSW (50-29) is in third place in the Western Conference.
In a press conference two weeks ago, Curry appeared optimistic he could be back in action at the start of the playoffs.
“I’ve been told… you want to not rush the beginning phase of the healing because that is where you get the most progress. When you put your shoe on and get back on the court, you aren’t dealing with any crazy soreness or anything.
This is one, if you push it too soon, it can linger. Yeah, we got enough time for that. I am an optimist though,” Stephen Curry said.
