Steve Kerr had high praise for the defensive performance of Stephen Curry after Game 1 between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies.
In the final seconds of Game 1, Curry made a key defensive stop, blocking Ja Morant and helping the Warriors retain their one-point lead (117-116).
“Steph has been underrated defensively for a long time. I think this was the best defensive season of his career.
We saw that all year long. I thought it was just a brilliant defensive play by Steph,” Steve Kerr told reporters, via Kendra Andrews of ESPN.
Curry went for 24 points, on 8/20 shooting and 5/10 from beyond the arc, as the Warriors now lead the series 1-0.
