Steve Kerr addresses Stephen Curry’s injury vs Celtics

Steve Kerr shared his thoughts on the injury of Stephen Curry in the home game vs the Boston Celtics.

The head coach of the Golden State Warriors addressed Curry’s injury and whether it was a dirty play from Marcus Smart.

“A lot of respect for Marcus, he’s a hell of a player…we talked after the game, we’re good but I thought it was a dangerous play,” Steve Kerr told media, including Hedgeout.net, afterwards.

Kerr also revealed that Curry had an MRI after the game and the Warriors are now waiting for the results. The superstar guard spent only 13 minutes on the floor before the injury. He left the floor, went to the locker room and didn’t return.

Without their star guard, the Warriors suffered a heavy home loss (110-88). Golden State trailed by as many as 24 and never recovered.

The Warriors dropped to 47-23 and are third in the West, For their part, the Celtics climbed to fourth in the East (42-28), claiming the sixth win in the last seven games.

Steve Kerr and his players remain home and will host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. For their part, the Celtics will continue their road trip and will face the Sacramento Kings on Friday.
