Stephen Curry is getting more minutes on the floor since returning from a left foot injury that sidelined him for a month.
The superstar guard of the Golden State Warriors missed the last 12 games of the regular season because of the foot injury he sustained on March 16.
He returned in Game 1 of the series vs the Denver Nuggets and was on minutes restriction, playing just 22. In Game 2, he spent just 23 minutes on the floor, while this number increased to 31 in Game 3.
Now, Stephen Curry thinks he could play even more minutes in Game 4 on Sunday, but this doesn’t mean he will return to the starting lineup, too. As he told media after Game 3, this will be a game-time decision.
The Warriors are up 3-0 and need another victory to sweep the series and advance to the Western Conference semi-finals. On the other hand, the Nuggets want to avoid elimination and force a Game 5 on Wednesday (April 27).
Steph Curry played 31 minutes tonight. Thinks he can maybe up it a bit Sunday. That could mean a return to the starting lineup. Curry: “We will see. Maybe.” pic.twitter.com/WUIGndYjz5 — Anthony Slater (@anthonyVslater) April 22, 2022
