Stephen Curry has been the face of the Warriors franchise, the last decade and he has been the bigger reason of the Golden State’s success that translates in four championships in eight years.
On Wednesday, Curry traded the hardwood for the mound as he and his wife Ayesha were on hand at the Oakland A’s game against the Houston Astros at Oakland Coliseum to promote their Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation.
He then joined the broadcast crew of the game to discuss the Warriors and how he sees his future in Oakland and the Bay Area.

“ I’ve been here 13 years. To say that I’ve played my entire career here, 10 years in Oakland and the last three years in San Francisco, I know how special this is the place,” Curry initially stated and then added:
“There’s a big need to face the challenges ahead and do it the right way. Honestly, I don’t ever want to leave. I want this to be my only home and I’m thinking about what I’m going to do here when I’m done with basketball.”
The Warriors will indeed have huge challenges to overcome the next two years especially if they want to keep the 2022 championship core together. Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole are in their last year of their deals.
At the same time, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have two-years remaining in their current deals, and they will certainly want to pen another big contract entering the last part of their playing careers.
