Golden State Warriors released the latest update on Steph Curry after going down with a ligament injury in the Warriors’ loss to Boston on Wednesday.
Steph will be re-evaluated in two weeks, the Warriors announced Friday. That does not mean that he will be able to play in two weeks.
Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Curry could return mid-April just in time to play in the postseason.
The Warriors are third in the West. However, they struggled considerably during the last two months, with Draymond Green out due to a back injury.
Curry’s injury is another huge blow for the Warriors’ chances to win a title this season. The Warriors sit third in the West with a 47-23 record, one game behind the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Warriors’ superstar went down with a left foot injury late in the first half after Marcus Smart dove for a loose ball. He had an MRI after the contest, which revealed a sprained ligament.
Golden State will return in action on Sunday against the San Antonio Spurs. With Curry out, Jordan Poole is expected to carry a bigger burden in the offensive end.
The Warriors will need more help from their back-up guard. The Warriors’ superstar was coming off a 47-point performance against the Wizards in the first time in 1,005 days that Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Curry took the floor together.
