Spencer Dinwiddie calls game during another Luka Doncic masterful performance

Spencer Dinwiddie made another big shot during his short stint with the Dallas Mavericks to help his team to a 113-111 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

The veteran guard, who joined Dallas during the trade deadline, hit the winning shot as the Mavs won the 8th of their last 10 games Wednesday night.

That was the second time in less than a week that Dinwiddie had a game-winner after his big shot against Boston.

Dinwiddie hit the winning basket with nine seconds left Sunday in Boston and came through in the clutch again after Kevin Durant had given the Nets a one-point lead with a 3-pointer with 10 seconds to play.

The former Nets guard finished the game with 22 points, on 6-of-14 shooting, in a night that Luka Doncic offered another masterpiece of a performance.

The Slovenian superstar finished with an almost triple-double, having 37 points, nine assists and nine rebounds. However, Dinwiddie was the man of the hour, scoring 15 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter.

Doncic has been unstoppable in the clutch during the last nine games demonstrating a plus-91.9(!) net rating in games that Dallas entered the last five minutes being up or down five points.

On the other hand, Dinwiddie is a plus-78 in those minutes, with the Mavericks having a 6-0 record in these occasions during the last nine games, per NBA.com.

Dallas sits fifth in the West (43-26) 3.5 games out of the third-seeded Warriors, while they are tied with Utah in the fourth seed.

The Mavericks have two more games to close a five-game road trip, which started in Houston on March 11. They will play Charlotte on Friday and they will continue Saturday vs Philadelphia.
