Sixers, Heat split season series (2-2)

Following their 106-113 home win over the Miami Heat, the Sixers tied the season series with the East leaders (2-2).
Philadelphia improved to 44-27 in the Eastern Conference and is now tied with the Milwaukee Bucks for second in the standings. On the contrary, the Heat dropped to 47-25, but are still on top of the conference.
Tyrese Maxey posted a game-high 28 points for the winners, who played without Joel Embiid and James Harden. On the contrary, Jimmy Butler had a team-high 27 points for Miami. Miami star guard added five rebounds and five assists.
This season, Butler has eight games of at least 25-5-5, which are the fourth-most he has posted in a single year of his career, via Stathead.
With the win, Philadelphia improved to 27-17 in games against the East, while the 27 wins are tied for the second-most among Eastern Conference teams, via NBA.com/stats.
The Sixers are now heading West for a three-game road trip. The first stop will be Wednesday vs the Los Angeles Lakers.
This meeting marks the second and final one between the clubs. In the first game on January 27, Philadelphia took a 105-87 win and a victory on Wednesday will let them sweep the series.
If the Sixers defeat the 17-time NBA champions, this will be the first four-game win streak over the Lakers since 1969, via Basketball-Reference.
For their part, the Heat will aim to return to the winning track on Wednesday, when they host the Golden State Warriors.
