Russell Westbrook aims to remain with Lakers and not get traded

Russell Westbrook wants to remain with the Los Angeles Lakers and not get traded for another time.

This is what Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports, adding that the superstar guard has already started building a relationship with new head coach Darvin Ham.

“In my conversations with Russell Westbrook in this offseason, I think as much as anything, he wants to be wanted.

So I think Russell Westbrook… he wants to have success in LA. This is his fourth team in four years… he doesn’t want to bounce around every year,” Wojnarowski said.

Westbrook recently opted in his player option, worth $47M, and returned to the Lakers, however he has been involved in trade talks since the start of the offseason.
