Real Madrid was unstoppable from start to finish and dominated Barcelona in Game 1 of the ACB Finals (75-88).
The “Whites” were in control from the opening tip and led by 20+ points in the contest (29-49, 51-74). The Catalans managed to cut the deficit to 11, thanks to a 12-0 run, (63-74), but couldn’t come any closer than that.
Gabriel Deck and Adam Hanga led the way for the winners with 18 and 16 points, respectively. Nicolas Laprovittola and Nikola Mirotic had 15 and 13 points for the losing squad, respectively.
Game 2 will take place on Wednesday at “Palau Blaugrana” and the series will then move to Real Madrid’s home court for Games 3 (Friday) and 4 (Sunday).
The “Whites” will be forced to rule Anthony Randolph out for the rest of the series, as the American big man exited the game with an apparent serious leg injury.
