Quin Snyder and the Utah Jazz could part ways soon if they don’t reach an agreement on a contract extension.
This is what Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports, noting that the future of Snyder with the Jazz is uncertain amid extension talks.
The veteran coach still has two years left on his current contract with Utah, including his option for the 2023-24 season.
ESPN reporting with @ESPN_MacMahon: After weeks of conversations with ownership and management, Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder’s future remains unclear and a possibility exists that he could decide to end his eight-year tenure with franchise: https://t.co/MFfns6fVqj — Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) June 1, 2022
Even though discussions with owner Ryan Smith and CEO of basketball operations Danny Ainge remain ongoing, there is still no agreement. Therefore, Snyder could consider ending his eight-year tenure with the franchise.
If the two sides don’t agree to terms on a new deal, the Jazz would also welcome Snyder returning on his current contract for next season.
Under Quin Snyder, Utah has the Western Conference’s longest active postseason streak at six years, but has not advanced past the conference semifinals in this era.
