Paul George made his return from an elbow injury during the Clippers 125-121 win vs the Utah Jazz to put an end to the five-game losing streak of his team.

In Clippers fashion this season, the team came back from a 25-point deficit. George missed three months of action, before making his triumphant return Tuesday.

The Clippers’ superstar, who hadn’t played since Dec.22, put up 34 points on 10-of-20 shooting (6-of-9 from 3), adding 6 assists, 2 rebounds and 4 steals in 31 minutes.

“Honestly, right after it happened, I was on the side of just getting surgery and getting over it and getting it done now, so I don’t have to go into a summer rehabbing and healing and nursing an injury. I wanted to hit the ground running in the summer time so immediately I wanted to get surgery,” George said postgame via Tomer Azarly.

Thankfully, for the Clippers, their star forward took the path of patience. He opted to wait for the bone in his elbow to heal and he felt optimistic he could return this season.

“Time was on our side, and there was a chance of it healing with no surgery,” George said, via Spors Illustrated.

The Clippers needed Paul George badly. They had been starting to run out of gas, especially in the offensive end, due to their lack of superstar power.

This was the seventh time he scored 30+ points. George has more (7) 30+ points game than the whole Clippers team (6) this season.

He averaged 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2 steals in 26 previous games this season. Despite his excellent performance on Tuesday, George still away from being 100 percent healthy.

Hopefully, he can give the Clippers the boost they need to make noise in the playoffs. The LA franchise holds a 37-39 record firmly in the eighth spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
