Patrick Beverley reacts to Russell Westbrook’s comments after Wolves-Lakers game

Patrick Beverley reacted to the comments that Russell Westbrook made after the game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Following the Lakers’ loss on Wednesday, Westbrook was asked about the trash talk of Minnesota players during the contest.

“The trash-talking doesn’t bother me none. Nobody over there has done anything in this league that makes me put my eyes up ‘oh, they’re talking trash, let me respond,'” the All-Star guard said, via Bleacher Report.

For his part, Patrick Beverley took to Twitter on Thursday and confronted Westbrook for his comments.

“Playoffs every year. 2 Western Conference Finals with 2 different Teams. Individual stats or team stats? I thought it was a team sport??” the guard of Minnesota tweeted.

This has not been the first time the two players confront each other, as they have created a beef over the years.

The two teams are in the play-in tournament spots and it is very likely they will collide for the seventh and eight spot in the West.

Patrick Beverley and Minnesota are seventh with a 41-30 record. They are currently fighting to overcome the Denver Nuggets (42-28) and directly qualify for the playoffs.

For their part, the Lakers are on a three-game skid and are ninth, at 29-40. They are just one win above 10th-placed New Orleans Pelicans (28-41), with 13 games left.
