The Denver Nuggets have agreed to a contract extension with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The deal is for two years, worth $30M, with Year 2 being a player option.
KCP has entered the final year of his current contract, worth $14M. Under the new deal, he will remain with Denver until at least the end of the 2023/24 season.

Caldwell-Pope joined the Nuggets a couple of weeks ago as part of a four-player trade deal with the Washington Wizards. In exchange for KCP, Ish Smith, and trade exceptions, the Nuggets sent Monte Morris and Will Barton to Washington.
The 2020 NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers averaged 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals last season.
