Nikola Jokic has been named the MVP of the 2021/22 NBA season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Per the NBA Insider, an official announcement by the NBA is expected this week.
The Serbian center wins the award for a second straight year. He averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists in 74 games with the Denver Nuggets this season. He also shot at 58.3% from the field and 33.7% from beyond the arc.
Despite his excellent presence, Nikola Jokic couldn’t lead the Nuggets to a deep playoff run. Denver got eliminated in the opening round by the Golden State Warriors (4-1).
