Nikola Jokic doesn’t seem to care a lot about winning the NBA MVP award for a second year in a row.

The superstar of the Denver Nuggets is among the prime candidates for the award, but doesn’t pay much attention to it.

“If it happens, yeah, great,” he said when asked about the possibility of claiming back-to-back MVP awards.

Asked Nikola Jokic about winning another MVP: “If it happens, yeah. great.” Where do you keep your first MVP award? “I don’t know where it is right now, to be honest.” Said he’s in the middle of moving, and his wife is the caretaker. — Mike Singer (@msinger) April 13, 2022

At the moment, Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid are the grand favorites to win the award. The Serbian center averaged 27.1 points, 7.9 assists, 13.8 rebounds and a league-leading 19 triple-doubles this season.

On the other hand, Embiid had averages of 30.6 points, 4.2 assists and 11.7 rebounds, while also named scoring champion.

Reigning champion Giannis Antetokounmpo and Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker also are in the conversation for the MVP.

For his part, Nikola Jokic is focused on helping the Nuggets have a deep playoff run. Denver takes on the Golden State Warriors in the first round in the West.
