Nikola Jokic wants to see the Denver Nuggets bounce back from the 107-123 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Game 1.
The superstar of the Nuggets and reigning MVP called his team the ‘underdog’ in the series and noted Denver should not quit.
“I think most of them we lost, so figure out what should we do, just try to be better. Hopefully it’s going to be a long series and hopefully we came here to steal one if we can, of course.
The pressure is not on us. We are underdogs here, but we need to act like the dogs, if that makes — we need to fight, and we cannot quit. We did not quit today, I’m just saying that as a phrase,” Nikola Jokic told media afterwards.
The Serbian center went for 25 points (12/25 shooting), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in Game 1. Golden State now leads the series, with Game 2 taking place at Chase Center on Monday.
