Nikola Jokic finish atop in the final NBA MVP rankings

NBA released its final MVP ladder of the season with Nikola Jokic remaining at the top of the rankings ahead of Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Jokic produced an even stronger campaign than last year, who was named the league’s MVP. He led the Denver Nuggets to the sixth seed despite the team’s injury struggles. Jamal Murray is still recovering from an ACL injury, while Michale Porter Jr. was ruled out after appearing in just a few games at the start of the regular season.


Jokic has experienced one of the best season that ever happened in the NBA. He had  averaged 38 points over his final four games with 17.5 rebounds and six assists leading the Nuggets in facets of the game. Jokic capped the regular season with 35 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists to go with a season-high five steals.

Joel Embiid is close second in the NBA rankings averaging an NBA-best 30.6 points per game with 11.7 rebounds. Embiid became the first center to capture the scoring title since Shaquille O’Neal in 2000, and destroyed opponents for 41 points or more in three of his last four games.


Giannis completed the Top-3 having his mind in the posteseason and the run for another NBA title in the playoffs. Antetokounmpo closed out 2021-22 strong, averaging 31.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists in leading the Bucks to a record of 14-6 since March 14. The Bucks ended up 3rd in the East and they will play Chicago in the first round of the playoffs.

The Top-5 is completed by Devin Booker, who finished the season with season averages of 26.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists during the regular season. At no.5, Luka Doncic finished the season on a strong note, but he has suffered an injury, which will keep him out for at least Game 1 of the series vs Utah.
