Nets want to make Kevin Durant trade ‘historic’

The Brooklyn Nets are not willing to back down from their trade demands and agree to a deal with a team for Kevin Durant.

According to multiple reports, the Nets are in no rush to agree to a deal and their demands include an All-Star player, a Rising Star, multiple first-round picks and pick swaps.

Of course, it will be difficult for any team to give up so many assets in order to land the two-time NBA champion, but a few title contenders will certainly attempt to sign Durant.

For its part, Brooklyn wants to make this deal ‘historic’ especially in terms of the assets they will receive.

“[The Nets] think this should look like one of the biggest trade returns in league history,” Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports, citing Rudy Gobert’s trade to the Minnesota Timberwolves as the perfect example of what the Nets want to receive.

In order to land Gobert, Minnesota sent five players and four first-round picks to the Utah Jazz. For his part, Kevin Durant has four years and $194.2M left on his contract.
