Nets officially add Goran Dragic for remainder of season

Brooklyn Nets have officially added Goran Dragic to the roster, the team announced on Tuesday.

The team didn’t release terms of the deal. But, the Slovenian guard is expected to remain with Brooklyn for the remainder of the season.

Dragic started the season with the Toronto Raptors, but made only five appearances with the squad. He was away from the team since November, due to personal reasons.

The Raptors traded him to the San Antonio Spurs at the February 10 deadline. San Antonio and Dragic worked on a buyout, which made him a free agent.

As a result, Goran Dragic signed with the Nets, who waived Jevon Carter to create a spot in the roster.

Dragic reunites with Brooklyn head coach Steve Nash. The two played together for the Phoenix Suns (2008-2011).

Following the trade of James Harden, the Nets have significantly bolstered their roster. They have also added Seth Curry, Ben Simmons and Andre Drummond.

Brooklyn will attempt a return to title contention in the last 23 games. They currently are eighth in the East, at 31-28.
