Nets not interested in a Kevin Durant trade to Raptors unless Scottie Barnes is included in the pack

The Broklyn Nets have no interest in discussing a Kevin Durant trade to the Toronto Raptors unless Scottie Barnes is included in the package.

However, the Raptors have no intention to let Barnes go, even though that means they would land Durant.

“Toronto doesn’t want to part with Scottie Barnes. That’s their stance. Brooklyn right now wouldn’t consider a deal without Scottie Barnes,” Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The Nets’ trade demands have made things difficult for teams to strike a deal for Kevin Durant and it is very likely the two-time NBA champion will not get traded before the start of the season.

For their part, the Raptors see Barnes as one of the team’s leaders and have no intention to part ways with him.

In case they want to continue discussing with Brooklyn, they may need to construct a different trade package, which would include more players and draft picks.
