The Brooklyn Nets made a wild comeback at Madison Square Garden and defeated the New York Knicks (110-98).
The Nets trailed by 17 at halftime (50-67) and as many as 21 points in the contest. Yet, they conceded just 31 points in the second half to turn things around.
Playing excellent on both ends, Brooklyn outscored the Knicks 60-31 and never looked back. The Nets closed the game on a 16-2 run and sealed the deal.
Kevin Durant (32 points, 11/22 shooting, 10 rebounds, 11 assists) and Kyrie Irving (24 points, 9/26 shooting, 8 boards, 7 assists, 3 steals) combined for 56 points. Patty Mills and Seth Curry added 15 points each for the winners.
Four players scored in double figures for the losing squad, with Alec Burks leading the way with a team-high 24 points.
Following their impressive victory, the Nets swept the season series vs the Knicks (4-0). This also was the eighth straight win for Brooklyn over New York.
Brooklyn improved to 42-38 and is still chasing 7th-placed Cleveland Cavaliers (43-37). Both teams have clinched their spot in the play-in tournament. On the other hand, the already-eliminated Knicks dropped to 35-45.
