The Nets took over from the opening tip and never looked back. Executing very well on both ends, they led by 17 after the first quarter (40-23).
The Sixers never recovered from that double-digit deficit and suffered a heavy home loss. Brooklyn even extended its lead to 32 points late in the third quarter (102-70).
Philadelphia dropped to 40-25 and is now third in the East, three games behind the Miami Heat (44-23). For its part, Brooklyn improved to 34-33 and has now won two straight games. The Nets are currently eighth in the standings.
This was the first loss for the Sixers with James Harden on the floor (5-1). On the other hand, Ben Simmons didn’t make his debut with the Nets, but got booed by Philadelphia fans.
