The New York Knicks aim to return to the NBA playoffs next season and view Jalen Brunson as the ideal player to help them do so.

Brunson is a free agent and the Knicks consider him a priority and will do their best to sign him once free agency opens next week.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Knicks are inclined to offer Brunson a four-year deal worth $100M. It is also likely this offer would go as high as $110M for four years, meaning an annual salary of $27.5M.

Jalen Brunson was one of the top players of the Dallas Mavericks last season, helping the franchise reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2011. And Dallas is willing to make him a lucrative offer and re-sign him.

Brunson averaged 16.3 points and 4.8 assists in the regular season as well as 21.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 18 games in the postseason.
