Chicago Bulls reportedly interested in Rudy Gobert

Chicago Bulls are interested in adding a big this offseason and they could be interested in Rudy Gobert this offseason, per The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor. Gobert may be on the move this summer if Utah decides to re-purpose its roster.

“Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer reported last month that the Raptors have expressed interest in Gobert. I’ve heard those rumblings too. Sources have also indicated the Bulls are a team with interest in Gobert (and other centers on the market, including Knicks free agent Mitchell Robinson).”

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has already reported that All-Star Donovan Mitchell is “unsettled” by his head coach’s departure. And this comes after months of speculation about whether or not the 25-year-old can see a future with the franchise.

Rumors of tension between Gobert and Mitchell have been present for years, and many believe a drastic change would involve moving the center over the younger Mitchell. O’Connor doubled down on the rumor the Raptors have also interest in the French big.

However, he added the Bulls will be an interested side as a team that will need to add more firepower in the defensive side of the ball. Gobert could offer that, being among the best players defending the paint in the NBA.
