Monaco stood tall in a late thriller vs ASVEL Villeurbanne in Game 3 (83-80) and regained the upper hand in the French League Finals (2-1).

The Monegasques were in control for the majority of the game after the first quarter, but ASVEL was finding a way to come back.

Paris Lee and Will Thomas scored key points in the final seconds and handed their team the victory, as the visitors failed to force an overtime after William Horward missed the game-tying three-pointer.

Lee (15 points), Mike James (16 points) and Dwayne Bacon (19 points) combined for 50 points for the winners. On the other hand, Ellie Okobo led all scorers with 25 points, but went just 1/8 from beyond the arc.

Monaco now has the chance to close out the series and win the championship in Game 4 on Wednesday. On the contrary, ASVEL will aim to even the series and re-claim the home-court advantage.
