Miami Heat lost Jimmy Butler to knee injury in the first half, but Bam Adebayo stepped it up to lead his team to an 109-103 victory vs the Boston Celtics. Adebayo finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in his best playoff game this season.

Boston never led in the game, but erased all of the 62-37 deficit and came within one point (93-92) with 2:40 remaining. In a game that saw Butler and Boston’s Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart leave with injuries, Kyle Lowry came back with 11 points and six assists.

The veteran guard missed the last four games of his team in the playoffs, while PJ Tucker(a game time decision) added 17 points. The Heat held off to the win despite the announcement that Butler won’t return to the game after half time.

Erik Spoelstra’s team head a 17-point lead at the start of the third quarter. Boston came back but some big plays from Max Strus down the line were enough for Miami, which re-take the home-court advantage.

Jaylen Brown had a game-high 40 points for the Celtics and Al Horford finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Strus had 16 points for the winning side. The two teams willmeet again Mondat night in Boston for Game 4.

It’s still unclear what the situation will be for the Heat superstar Jimmy Butler. While Smart and Tatum seem to be fine for Monday’s crucial game, according to head coach Ime Udoka.
