Dallas Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic thinks he still has a long way to go before becoming the face of the NBA.
The Slovenian superstar has been in the MVP conversation since he first joined the league in 2018. He knows, though, he has to accomplish more before becoming the face of the NBA.
“I mean, yeah of course. But I got a long a way to go. There are a lot of things I have to do to be that. I’m a long way from there,” Luka Doncic said, via Eurohoops.net.
At the moment, the young guard has his sights set on making the Mavs a title contender in the West. With just four games remaining, the Mavericks are fourth, at 48-30.
They have already clinched their spot in the playoffs and want to maintain a top four push to claim the home-court advantage.
For his part, Luka Doncic has another impressive season so far, averaging 28.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.6 assists in 61 games with Dallas.
Up next, Doncic and the Mavs travel to Milwaukee to take on the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum on Sunday.
