Markieff Morris wants no contact with Nikola Jokic after November scuffle

Markieff Morris missed 58 games because of an injury he sustained following a scuffle with Nikola Jokic back on November 8.

The veteran power forward was diagnosed with a whiplash and remained out of action for four months.

The former NBA champion returned to the Miami Heat lineup in the home game vs the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

He had 6 points (3/7 shooting) and 4 rebounds in 17 minutes of action. The Heat eventually lost the game (113-104), but retained their place on top of the East (45-24).

After the game, Markieff Morris was asked about his long-term absence and whether Jokic contacted him.

“F-ck no, I don’t want to hear from him. For the first two weeks, I probably didn’t sleep based on that happening to me and not being able to control the situation.

One of the first times in my life I couldn’t control something. I moved past it. It took me a while. My grandfather called me a bunch of times and told me to move on. That’s what I did,” the veteran big man said, via Eurohoops.net.

Markieff Morris and Nikola Jokic will not meet again until the end of the regular season. The only way the two will face each other this season is if the Heat and the Denver Nuggets reach the 2022 NBA Finals.
