Markieff Morris will make his return to the lineup of the Miami Heat in the home game vs the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
The veteran power forward has been out of action since November 8, following an injury he sustained in a scuffle with Nikola Jokic.
As a result of the scuffle, Markieff Morris suffered a whiplash and eventually missed a total of 58 games. Morris has been practicing with the Heat for weeks, however the league hadn’t officially cleared him to play.

This happened on Friday, though, and the big man is now ready to go. Markieff Morris has appeared in 10 games for Miami this season, averaging 7.7 points in 18.7 minutes off the bench.
The 11-season veteran is expected to have playing time in all three home games of the Heat this week. The East leaders will welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers (Saturday), Detroit Pistons (Tuesday) and Oklahoma City Thunder (Friday).
Miami has the best record in the East at the moment (45-23) and is close to clinching its spot in the playoffs.
Markieff Morris, a 2020 NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, is under an one-year, $2.6M deal with the Heat.
