Marcus Smart is playing through an ankle injury, but he is not expected to miss any time in the NBA Finals.
The star guard of the Boston Celtics admitted that the more days of rest he has, the better in terms of the healing process.
“Oh, it’s big. It’s big time for me. With an ankle injury or any type of injury, the more time you can get off, the more rest, it’s definitely good. So just keep going.
The trainers are doing a very good job making sure on those off days we’re doing everything we’re supposed to.
Not overdoing it, but also making sure we’re getting the work in to continue the healing process,” Marcus Smart told media, including Hedgeout.net, on Saturday.
Smart and the Celtics want to win Game 2 and take a clear advantage over the Golden State Warriors. The series will then shift to Boston for Games 3 and 4.
