Boston Celtics have ruled star guard Marcus Smart out of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals vs the Milwaukee Bucks.
Smart is dealing with a right thigh contusion and will miss the second game of the series. However, he is expected to be ready for Games 3 and 4 in Milwaukee, according to head coach Ime Udoka.
“I don’t think it’s long-term. He got hit and missed some games in the past. With three days off we’re assuming he’ll be OK,” Udoka told reporters pregame.
Coach Udoka says Marcus Smart’s injury doesn’t appear to be anything long-term: “With the three days off, we’re assuming he’ll be OK (for Game 3).” Derrick White will start in Smart’s place tonight.https://t.co/pmSw9YH8vs — Boston Celtics (@celtics) May 3, 2022
