LeBron James says Anthony Davis won’t fix everything for Lakers

LeBron James had another great night in the Los Angeles Lakers 111-140 blowout loss vs the Phoenix Suns Sunday night.

James went for 31 points, seven rebounds and six assists to add another historic milestone to his legendary career.

Despite his great performance, the Lakers veteran superstar had an honest reaction to his team’s struggles this season.

As LA hopes Anthony Davis getting back soon, James knows the Lakers’ big won’t be the answer for all the team’s issues this season.

“It puts a band-aid on some things, but we just haven’t had enough chemistry, enough time with our group to be able to know exactly who we are,” James said.

We literally just played a team, which probably has the most consistent lineup over the last two or three years. AD definitely helps, but he’s not the answer to all questions.”

Davis is going through another injury-riddled season, having played just 37 games so far. The Lakers have a 20-17 record in those games with Davis averaging 23.1 points and 9.7 rebounds.

Adrian Wojnarawski reported Davis has seen encouraging progress since he went down with a right foot injury in Feb. 16.

However, the Lakers are reluctant to share any major update or a potential return date. They hope for Davis to be ready to play in the play-in tournament.

The Lakers are sitting ninth in the Western Conference with a 29-38 record. They are 1.5 games ahead of the tenth-placed New Orleans Pelicans and 2.5 games ahead of the 11th placed Portland Trail Blazers.

LA doesn’t seem to have enough for a deep run in the postseason considering they keep their place in the play-in spots

They have 15 games remaining in the regular season and a tough schedule to face the rest of the way. They’ll play only three games vs teams under .500- two of those against the New Orleans Pelicans.
