Lakers rule out LeBron James vs Sixers with knee injury

The Los Angeles Lakers have ruled out superstar forward LeBron James for Wednesday’s game vs the Philadelphia 76ers.

James is dealing with a left knee injury (soreness) and will sit out the game vs the Sixers. This has been the first game the four-time champion will miss since March 7 and the second one since February 5.

LeBron James will have almost a week to rest and recover from his injury. The last game he played was Monday vs the Cleveland Cavaliers. After tonight’s game, the Lakers will take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.

Without the superstar guard in the lineup, the Lakers could struggle vs the Sixers. Star big man Anthony Davis is out as well, yet he is expected to return before the end of the regular season.

The Lakers are ninth in the West, at 31-41. They are within the play-in tournament spots, but it is difficult to climb higher than their current place.
