The Los Angeles Lakers combo guard Kendrick Nunn hasn’t been able to participate fully on five-on-five so far, Jovan Buha of The Athletic recently revealed. Nunn missed almost the whole 2021-22 season due to injury and he’s expected to be ready for next season.
Nunn came in with relatively high expectations to play a big role for the Lakers after being an important piece for the Miami Heat in his first two seasons in the league. Nunn will look to prove that he can contribute and do the same for the LA franchise.
According to Buha, Nunn has been training with the younger Lakers every week in order to be ready for the training camp. Recently, Nunn said that he’s at 100 percent health now and he will be able to participate in the Lakers’ camp.
After losing an entire season to injury, many are anxious to see what Nunn can bring to LA, including Nunn himself. The Lakers will need everyone available after finishing last season with a disappointing 33-49 record.
While it is great to hear that the young guard is healthy, the fact that he has yet to partake in full-court, five-on-five play just yet does bring some concern.
