Ahead of Game 1 between the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics, Kyrie Irving addressed his feud with Boston fans.
The All-Star forward has no intention to continue his feud with Celtics fans, but also wants Boston crowd to get over it.
“I hope we could move past my Boston era and reflect on some of the highlights I left at TD Garden that they can replay. Move forward. Just a new paradigm, baby,” Kyrie Irving said, via Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.
Kyrie Irving is returning (again) to Boston for the playoffs, where he's been Enemy No. 1 among fans. He's over it: "I hope we could move past my Boston era and reflect on some of the highlights I left at TD Garden that they can replay. Move forward. Just a new paradigm, baby." — Stefan Bondy (@SBondyNYDN) April 15, 2022
Irving spent a couple of seasons with the Celtics (2017-2019). Despite saying he wanted to re-sign with Boston, he eventually left the team and signed with the Nets.
Since then, he gets booed by Celtics fans every time he visits TD Garden. Games 1 and 2 will be one no different for Kyrie Irving, however it seems he doesn’t pay much attention to it anymore.
